Turmeric. Trade is taking it’s first step to sustainable. Small steps are the furthest!The oceans are covered in plastic. The aquatic wildlife are at their peak of endangerment, unable to thrive within plastic. Natural habitat are at it’s high levels of encroachment.
We have been replacing our bulk packaging material with Jute bags, PB wooven bags and LLP paper bags. Replacing plastics with biodegradables, to us is our first leap at ‘Conscious Sustainability’ and production of less to zero waste.
Soil is the closest connection to life. We source our turmeric from loyal farmers that prefer ‘anti-fumigation’.
Soil-borne organisms and weeds serve useful to one crop, but a waste to the other. Learning to exploit the pros and adapt to it’s cons, is a very strong one foot hold on conscious sustainability
